Message for Memorial Day Weekend

May 22, 2026

“On Memorial Day, we pause to honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today and remains a solemn reminder of the true cost of liberty.

As we gather with family and friends, may we also take time to remember those who never returned home — the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen whose courage and devotion will never be forgotten.
We remember not only their service, but their lives, their families, and the legacy they left behind. Their sacrifice endures in the history of our nation and in the gratitude of generations to come.

This Memorial Day, we honor the fallen.

The Eastpointe Memorial Day Parade will step off from the Michigan Military Technical & Historical Society Museum at 11:00 a.m. and proceed to Spindler Park. We invite the community to join us in honoring our nation’s heroes and preserving the tradition of remembrance.

About The Association of Community, fraternal, & Veterans Organizations

The group had a simple problem: how we do we get all the wonderful organizations in the City together and provide the community with top-notch events? The answer: create another organization! This organization can now pool resources and fundraise to bring great events to the residents and friends of Eastpointe.
